A Step-by-Step Guide to Visualization Techniques for Affirming Your Desired Outcomes
Successful
people have used visualization techniques to visualize the desired outcomes for
many years.
Some
great achievers have even been able to use the practice to create the lives of
their dreams. They can focus on one task or goal at a time and feel confident.
This
astonishing power is actually within us, but we don't know how to use it
effectively.
Elite
athletes use visualization techniques to achieve their goals. The super-rich
people also make use of it for success.
Top
performers in every area of life use these great techniques to achieve their
desire goals. This power is known as Visualization.
Visualizing
your dreams every day can help you achieve your desired goals and aspirations
faster.
Four
Important Benefits you can Derive from Using Visualization Techniques to Focus
on your Goals.
- It can activate your creative sub-consciousness, which will begin to generate imaginative ideas to reach your goal.
- It can enable your brain to perceive and recognize more resources that you will need to realize your dreams.
- It activates the law of attraction and draws into your life all the people, resources, and circumstances that you need to reach your goals.
- It can also build your inner motivation to take the actions necessary to realize your dreams.
Visualization
is a simple technique everyone can practice to achieve their desired
dreams.
Sit
down in a comfortable chair and close your eyes. Now imagine what it would look
like if you had the dream. Imagine yourself looking through your eyes at the
perfect result.
Use
the 'Mental Rehearsal Technique' to Visualize
Athletes use visualization techniques to practice mental rehearsal, which is a term used for athletes.
The Russians discovered this technique in the 1960s and have been using it ever since.
You only need to set aside a few moments each day. You will find the best times to meditate or pray when you wake up and before you go to sleep. These are the best times to be relaxed.
Follow These Steps:
STEP 1. Imagine yourself in a movie theatre. The lights dim while the movie begins.
The movie is about you doing everything you want. You should see as much detail as possible, including clothing, expressions, body movements, and the environment.
You can
also include sounds like traffic, music, people cheering, and other people
talking.
Finally,
imagine the emotions you might be feeling while you are engaged in this
activity.
STEP 2. Get up from your chair and walk towards the screen. Open a door on the screen to enter the movie.
You can now experience the entire thing from within
yourself by looking through your eyes.
It is
called an "embodied picture" and not a
"distant photo."
STEP
3. Finally, while the screen still
shows you performing flawlessly, get back in your theater seat and reach for
the screen.
Take it and shrink it to the size of an ordinary cracker. Next, take the small screen and place it in your mouth, munch, and swallow it.
Then, start to imagine each
little piece of the screen, which is like a Hologram, containing your whole
performance.
These
tiny screens will travel down into your stomach, through your bloodstream, and
into every cell in your body.
Imagine
that each cell in your body lights up with a movie of yourself performing flawlessly.
Imagine it as a store window with 50 TVs all tuned to the same channel.
Once
you have done this, close your eyes and get on with your day. It should take no
more than five minutes. You will be amazed at the improvements you can see in
your life if you make this a regular part of your day.
Make Goal Pictures
A
powerful visualization technique is to take a picture or a photo of yourself
with your goals. It's as if you are already achieving it.
Take
your camera to your local auto shop and take a photo of you behind the wheel of
your dream vehicle.
Find a
poster or picture of Paris and take a photo of yourself.
For each goal, create a visual picture and an affirmation. It is a good idea to create or find images of everything you want in your life. You can create a picture of your goals, whether financial, career, recreational, new skills or things you would like to buy.
Index Cards
Every
day, we practice the same discipline. Each of us has a list with around 30-40
goals that we are working on.
We
write each goal on 3x5 index cards. We keep them near our beds and bring them
along when we travel. We go through the pile of cards one by one each morning
and night.
After reading
the card, we close our eyes for approximately 15 seconds to imagine
accomplishing our desired goals. Then, we open our eyes and reopen the index
cards.
Use Affirmation to Support Your Visualization
An
affirmation is a statement that evokes a picture and the feeling of having
already achieved what you desire. Here is an example of Affirmation.
I enjoy
spending two (2) months in paradise and only work four days per week to run my
own business.
Repetition of an affirmation multiple times per day helps you stay focused on your goal and strengthens motivation. It also programs your subconscious to send an order to your team to accomplish your goal.
Expect Results
You can
achieve incredible results by writing down your goals and using visualization routines.
You can
change your beliefs, assumptions, and opinions about the most important person
you have in your life by using affirmations and visualization.
Hence, affirmations allow you to harness your brain's 18 billion cells and make them all work in a single and consistent direction. You will be transformed forever by the power of your subconscious. It is very invisible and takes no time.
It happens slowly, as long you are willing to practice your visualizations and affirmations.
Surround
yourself with positive people and also read positive books.
